Ahmed Altaher was introduced to sailing by his uncle, and from the very beginning, the hot and windy conditions of Dubai shaped his experience and built his resilience on the water. He began his journey at the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), starting with the Optimist class before moving on to the Laser and later transitioning into keelboat sailing. He served as a bowman from 2008 to 2010, developing a deep connection with the sport and refining his technique aboard larger vessels. Today, he continues to sail keelboats with passion and dreams of one day sailing around the world. For Ahmed, sailing is more than a sport — it’s a calling, a pursuit of freedom and adventure anchored in his love for the sea and his roots in Dubai’s coastal culture.Best Results
